History of Love N Miller’s Foundation, Inc.

Love N Miller’s Foundation, Inc. was created by Victor E. Love Jr., Lakiija Miller and  Lachavier Thomas. Our family has created this 501(c)3 non-profit organization to help low-income families tackle the financial hardship found in rural areas. We involved ourselves in the very community where Lakiija Miller raised her amazing children. The organization was created due to her children wanting to always honor her wishes for them to never forget to give back to the community that helped shape them. 

We take a holistic approach to helping those in need such as the homelessness, single parent home financial hardship, and even helping low income young athletes. 

Over the years, we have accomplished many important milestones in our mission to support financial hardship, including expanding our services and increasing accessibility to many resources.

We are proud to have the support of many individuals and organizations in our community who share our commitment.

Student-Athlete Sponsorship Program

The Love N Miller’s Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent young athletes from pursuing their dreams. Through our Student-Athlete Sponsorship Program, we provide assistance with registration fees, uniforms, equipment, travel expenses, training costs, and other athletic necessities. By investing in student-athletes, we encourage excellence both in the classroom and on the field, helping youth develop discipline, leadership skills, and confidence while working toward their academic and athletic goals.

College Success Giveaway Program

The Love N Miller’s Foundation, Inc. recognizes the financial challenges many students face when pursuing higher education. Each year, we select deserving college students to receive essential items needed for a successful school year. Assistance may include dorm room necessities, bedding, school supplies, personal care products, technology accessories, and other educational resources. This program is designed to ease the transition into college life and empower students to focus on their academic success.

Community Clothing Drive Initiative

Our Quarterly Community Clothing Drive provides support to homeless individuals and low-income families throughout the year. We encourage community members, businesses, and organizations to donate gently used or new clothing, shoes, and accessories. Donations are distributed directly to those in need, helping individuals maintain dignity, confidence, and comfort while reducing barriers associated with clothing insecurity. This initiative also promotes community engagement and a culture of giving.

Warm Hearts Winter Relief Program

During colder seasons, the Love N Miller’s Foundation, Inc. hosts blanket and pillow distribution events to support individuals experiencing homelessness and families facing financial hardship. By providing blankets, pillows, and other cold-weather essentials, we help ensure vulnerable community members have access to basic comforts and protection from the elements. Our goal is to bring warmth, hope, and compassion to those who need it most during challenging times.

Back-to-School Readiness Program

One of our signature initiatives is our annual Back-to-School Readiness Program, which provides backpacks, school supplies, and educational resources to students from low-income families. Since our founding, we have helped hundreds of students begin the school year prepared and confident. This program helps alleviate the financial burden on families while ensuring students have the tools necessary to succeed academically.
